We are beginning decimals this week! Here are some concepts that we will need to practice: naming decimals, comparing decimals, ordering decimals, adding decimals and subtracting decimals. Have fun fixing the railroad track while adding decimals. If you have trouble converting fractions to decimals try the decifractator! Here is a great concentration game to practice matching tenths to hundredths.

FRACTIONS
We have learned how to write fractions, using parts of a whole, naming fractions, and visualizing fractions. We have learned how to find equivalent fractions. We have also learned how to find the fractional part of a number, how to change improper fractions to mixed numbers and mixed numbers to improper fractions, and how to add and subtract fractions. This was a neat site to practice changing mixed numbers to improper fractions. Here is another cool site for equivalent fractions. This is a concentration game for equivalent fractions. For a fun way to learn about fractions this is the site to visit.
